VP Debate

Governor Sarah Palin and Senator Joe Biden

It was a fast paced debate last night, with hardly a pause. Both VP candidates did a fantastic job. Occasionally, Senator Biden came off as a bit robotic and coached. Contrastly, Gov. Palin tended to come off a bit folksy.

I've had the opportunity to visit with a few different people about their responds to the VP debate. So far the trend seems to be that Democrats say Sen. Biden won by a long shot and Republicans say Gov. Palin won by a long shot. Big surprise there, huh?

I was impressed particularly with the moments in which Sen. Biden let his personality shine through. I would say that Gov. Palin succeeded in letting hers shine throughout the debate. Sen. Biden answered the debate questions more than Gov. Palin, who swirved away from questions like, What is your achilles heal? and Which promises will you not be able to keep? I thought Sen. Biden definitely handles these questions much better than Gov. Palin. I was hoping that she would run with her I'm just like you approach, and admitted her weakness, even if she would have said, "My weakness is doing interviews with Katie Courick." Haha.

I look forward to more response to this debate, and have already been quite amused at the bias perspective the media has taken on its outcome.

More on the specific issues discussed to come...
