The media keeps going on and on about how the DOW is doing so horribly and how that means we're heading for a *dramatic pause* depression. I'd just like to review some of the facts. First of all, the DOW is just a part of the stock market, and other areas are doing poorly, but not as poorly as the DOW. Second, the company facing the most significant losses within the DOW is Exon-Mobil. They're facing problems because oil prices are down- which, other than the negative impact on the DOW, has also given us a national average of a 31 cent decrease in gasoline per gallon!
So, is it really that bad?
